Why Are We Raising Funds?

Since 1991 Wings of Mercy pilots have flown more than 8,000 patient flights for Michigan residents in financial need. We match medical patients who are not financially capable to afford air transportation to distant medical facilities with volunteer pilots and aircraft owners, willing to donate their time and aircraft.

Event Features:

Airport Tour

A statewide tour of participating airports where the local airport and community will roll out the Red Carpet with activities, services, incentives and food for Wings For Michigan volunteers.

Freedom to Fly & Drive

This is a multi-month event with attendance at the designated airports between 8:30AM and 5:00PM. Participant's have freedom to select the best weather and route options via air or vehicle. 

Online Registration

Cost of registration is $19.91 (year of our founding)

Earn Points

Participants will earn one point for each airport they visit. Bonus points will be granted to participants who attend and check in at the Wings of Mercy table during any of our numerous key events.

How To Participate

Participate in GIVING WINGS TO THOSE IN NEED by becoming a pilot or donor to Wings of Mercy. Together we can help more families in need!


Coming out of the COVID pandemic “NEED” looks a lot different than it ever has and there are many Michigan families who need help reaching facilities for their critical medical care. Wings of Mercy offers solutions to solve those needs. 


 WE ALL LOVE TO FLY - What better way to help our neighbors and honor God in the gifts and talents he has given us than to use them to help our neighbor!
